A Sample SeniorCARE911 Response

If you or a family member needs help, one little push of the SeniorCARE911 button will bring our Emergency Dispatchers on line in seconds. Here is an example of how our dispatchers will assess your problem and alert the appropriate authorities.

Mrs. Green is feeling ill and is having chest pains. Without having to go to the telephone or remember a number to dial, she presses the SeniorCARE911 button, which she wears on her wrist. Within seconds, Cathy, a SeniorCARE911 medical response dispatcher, is talking with Mrs. Green via the hands-free console unit.

The call proceeds as follows:

SeniorCARE911 Dispatcher 1: Mrs. Green, this is Cathy at SeniorCARE911. Are you OK? Mrs. Green:
No. I’m having chest pains.

SeniorCARE911 Dispatcher 1:
All right, Mrs. Green, please stay calm. Another dispatcher will be notifying your local EMS ambulance company and your neighbor Mrs. Lewis to come over to be with you.

Mrs. Green:
OK, please hurry!

SeniorCARE911, Dispatcher 2:
Mrs. Lewis, this is Steven from SeniorCARE911, the medical alert company for your neighbor, Mrs. Green. Mrs. Green is having chest pains; we have notified the local EMS ambulance company, and they will be arriving shortly. Could you go over and be with Mrs. Green until they arrive?
Mrs. Lewis:
I’ll go right over; I have the key to her house.

SeniorCARE911 Dispatcher 1:
Mrs. Green, we just spoke with Mrs. Lewis; she will be right over. We will also call your son Tom as soon as Mrs. Lewis arrives.
Mrs. Green:
Thank you, Cathy; I hear my neighbor now.

SeniorCARE911 Dispatcher 1:
Mrs. Green, now that Mrs. Lewis is there, our dispatcher will call your son to let him know that an ambulance is coming.

Mrs. Green:
Thank you, Cathy!

SeniorCARE911, Dispatcher 2:
Hello, Mr. Green, this is Steven for SeniorCARE911. We received a signal from your mother’s medical alert system. We have spoken with her, she is having chest pains and we have notified the local EMS ambulance company, as well as Mrs. Lewis, her neighbor. As soon as the ambulance arrives, we will let you know which hospital she is being taken to.
Mr. Green:
Thank you. I’m so thankful you are there to help.

SeniorCARE911, Dispatcher 2:
I hope your mother will be all right and please let us know when she returns home. Good-bye.
Mr. Green:
Thank you, Steven.

SeniorCARE911, Dispatcher 1:
Mrs. Green, we have called your son and will let him know which hospital you are being taken to as soon as the ambulance arrives. Your son will meet you there. In the meantime, we’ll stay on the line with you until the ambulance arrives.
Mrs. Green:
Bless you, Cathy!
