How does the SeniorCARE911 Medical Alarm Work?

1. The transmitter should be worn at all times. It can be worn as a pendent around your neck, or around your wrist like a watch. The transmitter is 100% waterproof, so it can be worn in the shower or while bathing. When the button is pressed, it sends an emergency signal to the main unit, which is connected to your home telephone line and transmits a signal to our 24/7/365 monitoring center. This all happens automatically as soon as you hit the help button on your pendant.

2. Whenever you need help or feel uncomfortable, you simply push the button on your wrist/pendant transmitter. Within seconds, our trained emergency dispatchers will talk to you through the two-way voice unit. This unit operates completely “hands-free,” which means all you need to do is talk—just as you would on a speakerphone. You don’t even have to be in the same room.

3. Our dispatchers will check to see if you are all right. If you tell us you need help, or if we are unable to communicate with you, we will dispatch local emergency authorities and call any additional emergency numbers that you have listed with us.

4. When we call the local emergency authorities, we will tell them who you are, where you are, how to gain access to your home, as well as any medical information or special instructions you may have previously provided us.

5. We will then notify any additional people on your emergency call list and inform them of the situation. This all happens within a matter of seconds, at the same time as emergency personnel are on their way to your home.
